16-week pull-out section in the Observer Magazine on French Cookery shot at the La Varenne school in Paris, and on location in France (I shot it over five exhaustive weeks including evenings and weekends!). This was the biggest series ever undertaken by The Observer, and was later published again as a book by Macdonald in London (it won the Glenfiddich Award for Best Food Book of the Year), and William Morrow in New York for the American market.
